Getting my first tattoo today in 9 hours!

Hi everyone Hope you're all well! I'm having my first tattoo done today, at 6pm GMT....about 9 hours from now! Eeek...I'm very excited but a little scared also. It's the word 'pilgrim' behind my ear. Very small, all black. I'm well aware it will hurt but just so excited that hoping I'll cope! I'm diabetic also, so going to eat up well before I go, and be sure to take sugary drinks and choc to ensure I don't hypo. Any tips for a first-timer, to make sure it's as enjoyable a process as possible? Thanks guys, appreciate any comments! Debs

Hey congrats! I remember when I was getting my first tattoo and all that excitement! WOW! Sounds to me like you did everything or doing evertyhing you need to, just remember to ask questions if you need to, and above all relax! They aren't as painful as you imagine, and it is over too quickly (at least for me it aways is!) Be sure to post some pics if you can! Good luck! Jeanne

Hey Jeanne Thanks for your message! Yeah I've been a bit geeky about preparing for it...went to the tattoo place a week ago to check out cleanliness, certificates etc. so happy with my choice! Thanks for the reassurance...I've been watching vids on youtube all day, trying to prepare myself. Hoping I handle the pain ok! Yes they said should take about 20 mins so not too bad! I will def post a pic once I'm done...thanks again! Debs
