Good Colored Pencils

This may sound stupid but dont really care, your the professionals and would love your opinions. Ive been working on my art and want to know what name brand is good for colored pencils. I want to be able to kind of blend some of my work, but all i have laying around is my sons crayola, lol. I got a Micheal's up here so thats about all i have for any kind of art stores in this area at the moment. As in blend i mean to put my finger and spread the color so it lightens in places like it does when i use my drawing or charcoal pencils.

For tips on colored pencils go to www.leehammond.com...Lee is the BEST and there are great tips on what to use...She also gives art lessons in the kansas city area ...all my artists went to her workshops and learned a LOT!! BTW I use prismacolors and Lyras..Taz

i need some art lessons here in the mississippi area but Im not finding anything here except for art classes for seniors which i dont think i qualify for just yet : )
