For my third tattoo I have Decided to get one of my favorite song lyrics into Latin (Bright Eyes "And I fall like a star...") I got a latin translator to translate it and evrything , but I don't know what font will look good. I want it in all lower case letters and I don't want it to look overdone. Any advice?

I am getting Dictum Meum Pactum done, either in Times New Roman (obvious choice) or century, batang or garamond are all good choices. Not overstated, but complement the latin idea. Hope that helps
Old english is the best for latin I think
Heloo was just wondering where did you find a latin translator, i really need one to translate Always in my heart and thoughts.
I am a Latin teacher, and the phrase "ALWAYS IN MY HEART AND THOUGHTS" can be best translated as the following... First, instead of thoughts, you may want to consider the word "prayers" it sounds better and it has more meaning:
Semper in meo corde et precibus
Always in my heart and prayers
hope it helped
"winning hearts and minds," or "winning through hearts and minds" (not sure which sounds cooler in Latin). From the sites I've visited I've pieced together some starters, but don't know enough grammar to check my work (you really only want to ink once after all hehe).
vincente per cor et mendibus
(...that seems a bit long...any advice?)
Thanks.

I found a great font for Latin tattoos. It's called Corinthian. It's a TrueType font style and I found it free at www.iconian.com! It's great to add shadowing to it.

The English word "fueled" doesn't seem to translate into Latin. I checked an online translator.
I'm Looking to get a tattoo that reads Deo Volente. I believe it to translate "God Willing" or the "Will of God". I just wanted to make sure that it's translated correctly. does anyone know for sure??
hi everyone

Can anyone translate "Forever in my heart" into Latin for me?
For future plans for Latin translations, it is certainly advisable to contact a professional translator, since about 45% of the tattoos I see in Latin are incorrect, ranging from misspellings to complete and utter nonsense (see, e.g., http://www.classicalturns.com/Oddities%281874997%29.htm). For any translation advice, or for queries about the most appropriate font for Latin (or Ancient Greek), please consider visiting www.classicalturns.com, or contacting Classical Turns at [email removed].

I found a font called Bastardre Hand on myfonts.com. I'm thinking about getting 'The Best Of You' tattooed. I currently have it translated to 'Optimus Vestrum'. Can anyone confirm or correct this please?? Thanks all!
Hi,
For my next tattoo I'm wanting the words 'my family, my life' which I've had translated as 'meus prosapia. meus vita'.. I'd just like confirmation from a second person(s) that this translation is indeed correct.
Many thanks,
Greg
