i would recommend that you go to a shop that has excellent tattooers..I don't get tattooed at a shop because it's the cleanest shop.i look at the artist portfolios, and if i like their work, and if i feel comfortable with them,i will get tattooed..Every shop you go to uses proper sterilization,so i wouldn't worry about getting any diseases from getting a tattoo..i would worry about getting a bad tattoo,if u don't do your homework..i checked out the site..www.moonlitetattoo.com i guess if u can't brag about your work, you have to claim your the cleanest shop around..
Thanks for the reply guys...........Is there anyone out there that has had any experiences with any of the above listed sites?
i live in PA can you give me an idea where your located where i live there are 3 great tattoo places.
I hear great things about chico. Also Studio 1 has/had some amazing artists as well as olde city. What style of tattoo are you looking for? Thats makes a lot of difference...
I live in the scranton , wilkes-barre area! But im willing to travel for a few hours for good work!
I'm pretty much old school............thinking along the lines of a skull and cross layed out in black n grey............Probbably size to somthing like 5 by 9 or so. Give or take. Am considering the color option. But kinda hooked on the black n grey look.

I just got some ink done by Mind's Eye Tattoo (www.mindseyetat2.com).
It is located in Emmaus PA
Matt is the owner and he does an awesome job! A nice gentle touch also!
Whatever you do do NOT go to Gator Rick's tattoo in Bath...they suck!!!!
I went to Mind's Eye to get my tattoo fixed that was done at Gator Rick's.
Blow outs, weak fills...scratchers in my opinion.
Good Luck!!!
yea i found a place called Mercury tattoo, its located in Glenside PA outside of philadelphia, i personally think they are some of the best. heres there website, www.mercurytattoo.com
Check out The Inkspot , my friend got a wicked tattoo from the guy that owns the place. you can get their info here www.myspace.com/theinkspottattoos
Gotta say I agree on the Terry Manning thing. Got my first three done by Terry when he worked in Marc's in Scranton (I was a coal cracker myself for 35 years).
Currently, I get my stuff done by Ozzie Perez at Body Graphics on 4th street in Philly. . .
Hey, all!

I just recently went to gator ricks in bath, and they did an awesome job. Their tattoo parlor was sparkleing clean and the artist was awesome...He is by far one of the best tattoo artists i have met yet.
You couldn't pay me to go to Gator Rick's. I'm a little dissapointed to see that no one has mentioned Deep Six Laboratory in Philly. Paul Acker is phenomenal! He is doing my sleeve in a few weeks! From what I've seen online, all the artists at Deep Six do sick work! Definitely check them out!
Also, look into Dan Henk, Shane O'Neil, and Brian Murphy!
electric city tattoo (scranton, pa)

Shaine McCarty and Joe Brown have been tattooing "free lance" and in other shops for over 20 years. There kind of local ledgends..There big thing is making sure your tattoos are affordable, and what you want. There process for sterilizing equipment is up to industry recomendations. They have a office manager on staff whos trained in cpr/first aid and blood born pathogens. Your greeted at the door with a smile by a knowledgable employee ready to assistand make your expierence more comfortable.
You should check them out.
