Green Soap

Is it normal for green soap to burn? I just got my first tattoo about 3 weeks ago and while my artist was doing it he woud wipe it with green soap. The soap burned so bad he had to stop useing it and use water until the end, when he had to wipe it with green soap again. Yesterday i went back for touch ups and the green soap burned worse this time then it did the first time. My artist said it was unusual for it to burn. Am I posibly allergic to it?
From what I know. ( wich isnt a whole lot). Green soap deffinatly is not supposed to burn. It is actually supposed to feel nice and cool. But when you purchase some types of green soap, it come in a consentrated formula. which is supposed to be Dilluted. Its my guess that your not allergic to the green soap, but that your artist doesnt know jack shit about what he is doing. I would like to add that you should have to return for tuch ups. Your tattoo should be done right the first time around. Unlees you picked at it during the unbarable itching that accures while healing. _peace:)
well funny ya ask that here lately ive had clients saying it burns a little what i simply did was dillute it more 99 percent of the time it usually ewwwww that feels so good lol
It could be what kinda paper towel he wiped u down with (bounty vs no name brand) Or maybe it was just tender, enough wipe downs and it starts to suck.
Or not enough lubricant (A&D or whatever) on the skin to protect it OR wiping too much...as for paper towels Bounty is too harsh, try VIVA you will never use Bounty again.
you could simply be allergic to it.... that would be my guess. Some people are allergic to harsh things like that... next time you get a tattoo I would DEF. mention this to your artisits and they could try something else. ~Kitty~
Tincture of Green Soap contains 30% alcohol. If you have ever put alcohol on an open wound you should have noticed that it burns.
ok that is something that i have never heard of green soap was desined to create a safe way to clean and cool eighter a spot on skin where eigther surgery or tatts or what ever is being done it is not supposed to done the conclusion is that you artist shouldnt be doing tats due to he dosnt no how to dilutte the solution properly my advice next time is to slap him in the face and learn it right. and now you cant be allergic to this the reason they created green soap as well is that a lot of people were alergic to iodine. so with that said dont go back to him
^ Although I doubt it's the case, you *can* be allergic to anything.
Green soap can burn do to the alcohol in it and because of this I tend to use Dr. Bronner;s Peppermint Soap which can be found at your local natural food store like whole foods but it is costly however needs to be cut 70% distilled water to 30% soap but I use a little stronger if applying stencils with it. I tend to use Stencil Stuff now so the lesser mix works great. Hope this helped
i found if you dilute it more any burning will go away
