Ok so here's my story.
I recently decided to get a full sleeve. Now i do have a substantial amount of work done already in varying location on my body so i'm not new to the world of tattooing. I actually pride myself and enjoy researching new artists to add to the human Canvas.
After much thought and research i found an artist with a good reputation and portfolio. I also had the privilege of seeing some of his work on other people which solidified my decision to green light the pheonix on my left arm. I have some tribal design work from my elbow to my wrist and what i guess you could call "energy wave" on my shoulder that tapers off onto my left pec. After much discussion with the artist "we" had come to a conclusion on how to work the phoenix into the mix (which would be the majority of the arm). In doing this we would have completed the sleeve while preserving the work of the other artists.
Sooo..the artist proceeds to do the outline in the first sitting which turned out so so...lines were a little shaky but nothing that i didnt think could be rectified once the shading process began. Now in the second session he started the shading and he was rough as hell (based on previous experience) and it just wasn't a pleasant experience...but once again i thought...different artist different technique...i will waite until i heal and make a decision then. Well it has since healed..the shading sucks...lots missed and they're are a couple spots of scaring....needless to say i'm not impressed.
Now i know how artists dont like to touch anyone elses work but i have decided to pull the plug on this experience while its still early. The majority of my arm is still just outline with minimal shading done. Will no artist cover this up or change it enough to make it their own? An outline should be easy enough to cover i would think. I need some help.!!!! I spoke to the artist about it and i'm still not comfortable. His attitude kind of stinks.
Some suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Have outlione done, minimal shading, not happy.

without acctualy seeing this work that has been done i dont think any artist could comment on the possibilities of sorting the tattoo out is the work black and grey or does it have colour a picture would speak a thousand words some artists wont touch it if they feel they wont be happy with the end product having put there stampon it so to speak but im sure you would find someone who would sort it out

I'm located in Calgary, AB. Sorry for the delayed response. I will be emailing photos to those that have provided their email addresses. A little slow due to the holiday festivities. Please watch your email and i appreciate the suggestions.
hi there had a chance to look at your tattoo personally i think your right in not wanting the artist that started this continue allthough it isnt the best it is by far not the worst ive ever seen some of the lines are a little bit sketchy but nothing that can not be sorted by any decent artist looks like he has over worked the skin a little near the wrist but nothing that cant be sorted still trying to figure out why he contined blood lines where they wernt needed but each to there own
i could recomend several artists in the uk but your from the states
over to the guys on your side of the water hopefully they will sort you out
