heeling tat on someone with dry skin

Mine new tat is at the 10 day mark. It peeled a little bit about 4 days ago, it didn't peel much and was tiny little bits. It is now at the snake skin point. I have been putting Lubriderm three times a day. I have really dry skin (cold here in the northeast) and the tat is really dry. When I put the lotion on it looks good then after a few hours it will look and feel real dry again. Because of my dry skin ( I have Exema) do I let it dry out or do I try to keep it moist?
I really dislike Lubriderm, it actually dries me out, I use Vaseline intensive care non scented...not greasy and keeps the tattoo moist
The other problem is that where it is peeling it is a little opaqe underneath. You can see the ink down under a layer of skin, it is dull and fuzzy looking. When my other tat peeled it was bright ink underneath. Does this sound normal? I am hoping the opaque parts will clear on there own. Thanks
i would say use Berri-care its made by the same company that makes techni-care(care-tech labs)its really good and it protects against staph,Mrsa...ect...good stuff
