Hey taz ok i have a portfolio i have art on paper so what is my next move do i just go around to shops and try my luck all thay can do is say i suck or keep working on my art or give me a shot any advice taz

Hey Bill ...how ya doin today my friend?? Yeah that is EXACTLY what ya do but before ya hit the bricks make sure yer porty is as good as it can possibly be man...make it 100% pro....not just the artwork but also the whole looks of the potfolio...be prepared for rejection and be prepared to run into a bunch of assholes ...but like Gabe says all the time...every time somebody shoots ya down that should make you want to improve just that much more....DO NOT GIVE UP!!!! Ana don't let a few rejections knock ya off the road to bein an artist...if ya got it in ya you will get there...always go in with a humble attitude...that does not mean kissin ANYBODYS' ass!! Just a humble attitude...Your attitude will make or break ya!! Taz speaks true. He just gave not only every tattoo artist great advice, but it works for every other kind of artist as well.

hey stick to your sights man and listen to taz.ive had to learn a hell of a lot to get to the point i am at and alot of that i had to learn on my own.yes be prepaered to get turned down but if they throw ya out then look at it this way. ok ass hole ill remember you when i get where i want to be and i blow you away with awsome work.i dont know why or how exactly i am still in a fog over the happening with taz and myself. all i can say is for some reason we were to take this path of life together and he must see potential in me and trust my words and know where i am at in life. whatever the deal ive busted my ass to get here and im going to continue to bust my ass.and when ive had enough i will look at my son put the machine down and tell him as i walk out the door,ok son its your baby now remember taz and me and how we were treated i expect you to do the same and happy inkin son!

yeah don you said it we need to pass this wonderful thing on to the next generation man...and you guys in established shops would do well to remember that once upon a time you were that kid standin outside the tattoo shop with a ragged ass sketch book in your hands full of art that you sweated through some long hard nights to get down on paper hoping and dreamin that somebody would see that hunger in your eyes and desire in your heart and give you a leg up....a kind word or two. Sometimes that art isn't the best but who was born bein able to paint like a Joe Capobianco or tattoo like Krystof or paint like Guy Aitchison?..Not me!! I know ya can't take every kid out there who wants to be us under yer wing but dammit us guys and girls high up on the ladder of tattoodom need to do our best to reach down and give a hand to those who want it soooo badly....Just as you once were so they are now...they are the future of this art.....Cherish them and if they treat you with respect...return the favor!! Respect means nothing unless reciprocated, But thats just me!!.....OK I'm done now....TAz
