INTERESTED IN READING TWO BOOKS. ONE IS A BOOK BY PHIL SPARROW, BAD BOYS TOUGH TATTOOS AND THE OTHER IS 1000 TATTOO'S BY HANK SCHIFFMACHER I THINK. ALSO LOOKING FOR SOME ED HARDY FLASH. IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS OF A TATTOO SUPPLY COMPANY THAT MIGHT HAVE THESE BOOKS I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE THE INFO. ALSO CURIOUS WHAT OTHER ARTIST RECOMMEND READING AND ALSO WHAT FLASH THEY CONSIDER GOOD FOR TRACING AND SHARPENING UP DRAWING SKILLS.
A little bit of advice, tracing won't help sharpen up your drawing skills, and it severely limits your growth as an artist. Draw, Draw and Draw. Use everyday items for reference and don't trace. You'll be a much better artist in the long run. As far as books go, instead of using tattoo related books, try books such as Dynamic Light and Shade, various anatomy books, and practice basic geometric shapes in varying sizes and lengths/widths. A real artist with a desire to tattoo will almost always blow a tattoo machine operator out of the water.
