how do i hook up my amp coils to my machine

dont know how much help i will get. im apprenticing and the guy told me when i learn everything about the tools i will use he will teach me.... any help???? thanks

you know if you all are goin to be inconsiderate pricks than thats on you. fact of the matter is i am a serious appretice who loves the art and wants to make a career of this. and i ask for some help and all i get is a bunch of people who think they are better than me talking down like some rich kid. i got news for you if you are a real tattoo artist you didnt have mommy and daddy buy you a shop - you worked for one and did the best you could. thats all i have to say. No one is going to tell you one damned thing except for your mentor. On the other hand, I'm not entirely convinced that this isn't a troll. The whole point of having a mentor is that he/she is supposed to teach you everything they know about the tools, not expect you to learn on the internet...

Look man if this is a real post ( which I doubt) but if it IS real...you need a new mentor...there are many things to learn before even touching a machine and your mentor knows that....Tell him to fuck off and find a real artist to teach you!!!...TAz

OK man, heres the info you need, to hook up your amp coils first you must tap them hard, use a 16 lb sledge, tapping them will force the magnetic field back to earth, be sure to hit them very hard, now your amp coils will be neutrally charged, and are safe for hook up, the next part may be a bit tricky for a beginner, but I think you can handle it..... get a 240 volt power cord, hook all the wires together, stand in a bathtub full of water, and plug it in.....and BAMB!!! your all hooked up. amp coils....what a schmuck. obviously your mentor doesnt have any faith in your abilities....does he often send you out to find things like a board stretcher? a bucket of steam? left handed screwdrivers? hey man dont let others get you down... you obviously are very inexperienced but what you need to do is listen to TAZ! find a freakin artist that cares enough to show you everything. and there are many things you need to know before you even look at a tattoo machine. if you are dedicated and you have the talent and ambition... you will make it. but first find someone who actually gives a shit - and will really teach you how to tattoo. where does all the rich kid comments come from? and whos mom and dad buys them a tattoo shop. ive never even thought of asking my parents. i should give them a call. and yeah taz. what the fuck are amp coils??? although i must say. my last mentor was the exact same. im glad im in a new shop. i remember trying to tear apart my first machine (a dreaded superior soft touch) and put Pulse "amp" Coils in it. I tried gettin my mentor in the room, but he was too busy playin video games, he said "machines take on a mind of their own". what the fuck does that mean? not once while i was there did i hear the words 'DUTY CYCLE" or "FOLLOW THROUGH". i kept hearing words like.. money, and.... flash. nor did my machine ever take on a mind of its own. that would be a sick movie though. gettin tattooed TO DEATH!
