How Good Do U Got To Be At Drawing

ya wuts the dam deal...i just wanted to ask a question how good do u really got to be at drawing cuz am dieing to try getting a apprenticeship....dont get me wrong i no how to draw pretty much anything i see.... but i really can't draw out of my head will badass stuff at least.... and do u have to be able to make up ur own designs...........be free to speak ur mind

Alright mate, You dont really need to be able to draw great to be a tattooist. End of the day a steady hand and a good knowledge of machine use you could do flash for the rest of your days out of your kitchen. But am afraid if you want to be a respected and trusted TATTOO ARTIST then you really need to be able to draw pretty much anything and everything on request. Especially when applying for a apprenticeship, they will probably test you on the spot. The best thing to do is practice practice practice. Collect reference books, tattoo flashes, study different styles. Dont forget not every tattooist makes the designs up from scratch we are the kings and queens of tracing. But if you want to be exceptional you need to be able to create fantastic works of art from nothing more than a few ideas from a customer. But i will say this mate keep trying and keep drawing and remember this...... the fact you can draw at all makes you better than probably 25% of the so called tatt artists out there who have a heart attack when a customer comes in and isnt interested in any of the flash on the wall.

thinks for replying....i can draw pretty much anything in front of me without tracing.... i guess freehand wutever u what to call it......but i cant make up my own design.....i wish i new how to put some drawing up so i can get some feedback or some pointers on wut i need to work on

if you have images on your computer then you should be able to attach them direct to an email. and send them to [email removed]. im not sure of any other way.
