how good do u really got to be at drawing????

ya wuts the dam deal...i just wanted to ask a question how good do u really got to be at drawing cuz am dieing to try getting a apprenticeship....dont get me wrong i no how to draw pretty much anything i see.... but i really can't draw out of my head will badass stuff at least.... and do u have to be able to make up ur own designs...........be free to speak ur mind

No you don't have to be good at drawing to be a tattoo artist, just to be a good tattoo artist. As far as creating your own work it really just depends, you can sit and do walk ins all day off the wall but if that's all that your interested in than I would say it's not worth the trouble There are not a lot of artists that just draw shit out of there head, unless it's a subject that they specialize in. There is nothing wrong with using material for inspiration and acuracy. I often use up to ten selected references when I start a piece. If you want to post some of your work I can assist you further.

ya thinks Mean Jean i been triping trying to find out if i have to do all that stuff u no im still teaching my self to draw more and more but ya.... i can put drawing together and all that.... but not comeing up with stuff in my head will least not now but am learning but anyways as soon as i learn how to put pics up on here i will and thanks for answering my question.....................................and noz mannnn i ant even going to say nothing

bottom line i beleve if you cant deliver what the customer wants you shouldnt be tattooing flash artists to me are not real tattooists their fuckin tracers and copycats
