How long should I wait before I e-mail an artist for an upcoming convention

How long should I wait before I e-mail an artist for an upcoming convention? I have been trying to get an appointment for a convention in Miami, and have been e-mailing this artist for months with no responce. What should I do? Respectfully,

I would recomend sending out emails to any artist that you would want to collect from at this convention. If none of them get back to you(someone will) follow up with a phone call in the order of your preference. Tattoo artists are natoriously unable to get back to emails in a timely manner. So the trick is to have a back up plan. Some artists are organized enough to book appointments well in advance, while others will only even think about booking a convention a month in advance. Artists that have to travel a good distance to get to the convention are more likely to want to book all their appointments ahead of time.
