I've got the design in my head....now what?

It's taken me about 1 year to figure out the exact design that I want. This will be my first LARGE tattoo. I need some suggestions on an artist in my area who does custom work. I still need to get the idea on paper and go over my ideas. I've searched the web, asked friends, and I've had no good luck. I need someone who is IN Orange County, or close to. What type of tattoo? We have bunch of artists from yer area on our custom tattoo artist list that are outstanding.

The tattoo that I'm looking to get drawn up is going to be a thick vine with thorns, starting at the top of my shoulder, going down my back, the shoulder blade area. I want the look to be the vine growing through my skin, the thorns causing blood to drip. On the vine exotic flowers of all different kinds growing from the vine. Some flowers being on their own smaller vines growing through my skin as well. I've found a couple people, but far away, it seems as though I should just suck it up and travel to ensure that I get a good artist. I just want someone I can sit down with and go over my thoughts, and see what he/she has to say about their thoughts, and put it all together.

If you have to travel a little bit, it's worth it in the end, not all tattoo artists are created equal, there are good ones as well as not so good ones. As Gabe mentioned, there are many in your area that are excellent, so check the artist list here and take it from there. Good Luck!
