infected tattoo is it ruined?

So i just got a new tattoo on the ankle and I've gone to the doctor and it is infected and im getting it treated. My question is : there is a huge blister on the tattoo itself and the doctor said don't pop it and i just want to know is the tattoo ruined or is there still hope?

We can't know until it's healed. But popping it would definatley NOT help preserve your tattoo. Take the antibiotics and keeps the area clean, and if it does fade a bit, you should be able to get it touched up by the artist who did it.
