Infected Tattoo

I got a tattoo 4 days ago it hasn't bothered me up until now. I have had it covered off and on since i got it because it is on my hip and i have nothing that will sit and stay low enough to keep it uncovered. Right now it is really sore and extremly red no swelling no pussing. I just cleaned it like i am supposed to. It was fine earlyer today I have done everything i am supposed to. Please right back soon.

sorry there are a few things i fergot to mention. there are no bumps no sticky slimy stuff, It feels the same way it did when i got it done. It stings like it did and it is just as red as it was when it was done. yesterday it wasn't hurting and the redness was almost completly gone. Right now the stinging is starting to go away but it is a bright red colour around the outline of the tattoo.

Without seeing your tattoo we really can't tell you much of anything except to consult your artist!!...If you can e-mail a pic of the tattoo maybe we could help mare...sorry!!...TAz

I am no professional, but I just had the same issue with my tattoo. I got mine done four days ago (see blisters on my new tattoo topic). The only difference is that mine had little blisters on it. I went to see the doc and she said that since it is extremely red around it, it shows infection starting to set in. I would go see a doctor and try to get an oral skin antibiotic, Keflex was prescribed for me by my doctor. I wouldn't wait, it can only get worse.... better to be safe than sorry! : )
