Infected tat

4 messages · last activity 10/9/2006

I got my 4th tat 2 weeks ago its a vine around my ankle. I went to my artist 1 week after I got it , he looked at it he said I had a reaction to the tattoo goo and to stop using it. He said to use antibactic ointment . So I did, but now its got white , yellow stuff coming from it and 2 leaves have really bad scabs. The leaves are infected the rest of the tat is fine except for 1 little spot of a flower , the flowers are blue the vine is black . One leaf is more swollen and red then others. I was thinking that maybe I had a reaction to the green that was used for the leaves. I am thinking of going to my doctor but I don't know if I am just being peroniod . Any suggestions?
Obviously it's infected to all hell if it's pussing like that. Why would you hesitate to go see your doctor? Maybe your body is trying to fight the 'ink' because of the reaction but I don't know how you would fix that. Then again I don't draw tattoo's I'm just a fan. Craig www.creativecutgems.com
Go to the docotor. Its better than having your leg chopped off.
Get to your doctor quickly. Even if it is a reaction the doctor can prescribe medications to decrease the immune response. If it's an infection then antibiotics. Either way the doctor is the one to see at this point to save your health and your ink.
