INFECTED???

Hey I had a tat done on my wrist the other week, I have had two others done in the past and they have healed up fine, however this one is being a total bitch! The Black parts are healing ok but the coloured part is very red, slightly yellow,sore scabby. I followed the aftercare instructions from the tattooist-wash with anti-bac soap 4 to days and use savlon cream to heal the skin. It seems to be taking awhile to heal and Im wandering if its infected as I have never experienced anything like this before? I also used Tattoo Aftercare hemp balm which they sold at the studio, could this have triggered anything? I spoke to him and he reckons i could be allergic to the balm and to stop using it. Any ideas would be appreciated ta xxH

since you stopped using the balm have the problems persisted? And By the way you describe the pain and color of the developments it sounds more like a classical infection than an allergic reaction, If you have already went back to the artist to show him/ her i would recommend visiting your family doctor as some infections left untreated can become serious.
