infection??

So I had my very first colour session done (first ever) and Im really concerned. I have about 7 or so small spots (grain of rice size) that are really sore. Now the whole tattoo is flaking (normal I know) but those 7 spots are actually sunken in and feel like fresh gouges. they are swollen and slightly inflammed. I have followed the instuctions on how to care for a fresh tattoo 100% and Im concerned about whether or not this is an infection. I spoke to my artist and his response was "hmm im not a doctor i dont know" (really good info.......jackass) Does anyone know what this could be??? or what i should do? I cant see my doctor for 3 weeks...

honestly, I had something similar happen just a few weeks ago, a reaction to skin candy's Love heal tattoo balm. A&D was fine. Any way from family and friends in medicine. Those open sores are just that, open sores. So you want to treat them as such, keep it clean in the mean time and when it is healed you may need to get the ink redone
