Info about Hep. C and AIDS

My mom and younger sister have Hep. C, and there is a little fact about it (it's about 10 years old...so imagine it now...) About 10 years ago, it was figured that for everyone one person with AIDS, 4 have Hep. C...and most people that have it don't even know. Just something to concider when questioning safety....sounds like EVERYONE should be treated as though they have something...as it's more common than not
You're absolutely right, and thats exactly why I treat EVERYONE as if they're infected with something I don't want to spread.
i treat everyone and my work station like it has hep. B everyone at the shop i work at has had hep vac. shots. i went to a seminor at a convention done by APT and hep is some wiked shit it can live in swimming pools, and for 4+ months on the floor. i keep everything wiped down everything in my station with gremacide after every tattoo. we even use machine bags and clipcord bags. can't be too safe.
Im gald you have brought this up! Im a student nurse and we had a REALLY long lecture on this subject and we didnt actually realise how common and dangerous this blood infection is! We have all been vaccinated against it obv but its good and reassuring to see tattooists thinking bout it as well! Good on ya guys and gals!!!
