To Saiyge and all the others who have posted on this forum requesting info on drawing, portfolios and tattooing in general...I highly and emphatically suggest that you purchase reknown tattoo master Guy Aitchisons book "Reinventing the Tattoo" The book is great by itself but as an added bonus it comes with a serial number that is used like a password to access Guys' personal forum...This forum is AMAZING!!!! You are invited to join in art projects and be critiqued ( in a very fun and positive manner) by the master himself!
Not to mention problem solving forums for tattoo artists which GUY also mediates and a tattoo critique section where you can upload your work and have it looked at by some very experienced artists (along with Guy himself!) and ALWAYS in a positive way.
This book and along with it the free forum ( I still am awestruck that Guy actually is on there nearly EVERY DAY>>>IN PERSON!)is by far the best, most comprehensive publication on tattooing and art that has ever been offered and its only a hundred bucks!...One tattoo will pay for it!
If you are a beginner and just breaking into the biz you simply cannot find this information in one place ANYWHERE!!...I insist that ALL my artists apprentice and pro alike get this amazing fount of information. From pigments to needle making and use to machine tuning and maintenence to problem skin to...well ..ANYTHING that has anything to do with tattooing and art
If ya want it just go to www.hyperspacestudios.com and click on books/forumto order...takes about 6 weeks for delivery.
No I don't get paid to sell this book...I had to shell out a hundred to get my own copy...I just think that if you are serious about the art of tattooing YOU NEED THIS BOOK!!!!...TAz, Painted Angel

I agree 100%. I got this book for the artists at our studio too!
You are a good and wise ruler oh hairy one...I find it amazing that an artist as busy as Guy is takes the time to interact with the people that come to his forum ...and in person..well on the internet in person!.. he is just the nicest person I have ever met!
-drooling-
Oh... now your evil.
I think if I order this thing though, my husband will divorce me lol.
I can hear it now.. "You spent a hundred bucks on a book?!?!?!?!"
Bad timing and all that. I just gave my 3 week notice at work yesterday.
Damn damn damn.
Oh, And thank you!!! This is certainly going on my 'list' :)
