id like to get an angel tattoo on my left inner wrist.. and a tat artist said this wouldnt be possible? like what designs are nice for inner wrists? they always say its such a small place to put a tat in but i rili want mine there!! so help!!
You can basically do a lot of stuff it all depends of your artist's hand. Usually single shapes suit the best, ex: "a cherry" just kidding, lol I personally rather to tattoo black work , like a kanji or tribal. I try to stay away from those bluish veins. My 2 cents. Cravink
Of course its possible...it IS a small place and the design would have to be VERY simple with little detail!
Why do you stay away from the blue veins? Just wondering. I also have a friend who was told that her veins were to close to the surface for a wrist tattoo. Can you veins be to close to the surface for a tattoo? If so, how can you tell. I'm planning on getting a wrist tattoo next month, but I haven't seen my artist yet. I am worried that my veins are to close. Of course, I look at veins as to how to insert the needle when drawing blood. Thanks! Callie
Doesn't matter ...in 35 years of tattooing I have never seen someone I had to turn away because their veins were too close to the surface...I guess its possible but would be very very rare!!
Thanks Taz!
I think it would take a lot of effort and horrible digging with the needle before you'd actually puncture anything. Veins are designed specifically to be able to shift to the sides and deflect sharp things. I've never had a problem with wrists, but it does need to be a simple design. No portrait work there.
i got a tattoo on my wrist right over the blue viens and it was fine.
lol, guys what I meant about staying away from those bluish veins is" the wrist" since don't dig to work in there that much (personal preference) I have one myself and I tattooed both of my fiance wrist. We both have a combo (I better marry her now...wedding on its way though, lol)
I was just wondering why you personally try to stay away from the viens. I know it can be done. I thought it was wierd when my friend was told their veins were to close to the surface for a wrist tattoo.
I prefer to tattoo on other skin areas, I DID NOT say I don't. I do not tattoo faces for example.
Hey! Im getting a wrist tattoo tomorrow and I was wondering if you can think of any nice star tattoos? It needs too be small enough too be covered for work but not small enough that it looks sqaushed up.
i'm thinking of an inner wrist tattoo of a shamrock with my sons name in it, with his handwriting, he was killed in may in a crane accident. just wondering your thoughts and opinion on that. thank you so much.
Hey, like the first question, i am looking to get an angel tattoo on my wrist, but i cant find a nice simple design, that would look good there, with a small script of faith underneath. any ideas anyone?
