i notice that day of the dead art is mostly colorful. however i'm kind of darker...and i was wondering if it wouldn't look good if i got a coupld day of the dead skulls in just black&grey...you think this takes away from the style? maybe I could add red but i don't really want to...thanks for readin.

No reason it shouldn't....One way to find out.
Just sounds like a personal preference to me dude, one way or the other...
Personally, I think I would prefer black and grey as well. I say go for it!! A good artist will make it look like a million bucks!
thanks guys.
Im definitely a color (got my black and grey sleeve colored even) guy, but if you go to a kick ass black and grey kinda artist they can do any design justice.
thanks. hopefully i can find someone to do my rendering the way i designed on this island. or i can just wait, i'm pretty patient. :)
ha, if I knew where you were Id offer a few artists up... :-P
i'm on oahu. most people here are really into polynesian tribal and then there's the part that just try to make money off of tourists in waikiki. sure there's more, but i don't have the time. but if you have any recommendations and references online, that would be awesome!
I'm not familiar with too many artists in your neck of the woods but i do know that Mike Ledger has been tattooing in Hawaii for quite some time now. Does alot of Asian inspired work but i would look into him- very talented guy. Good luck and let us know how it works out.
