IrishRussian German... Help

Ok people, so here's the deal, I am 23 years old, and female. I just lost my grandfather about a year ago, it killed me, and still does, and I came to realize just how much my family means to me. I want to get 2 tattoos, simultaneously, on my feet. I want them to match, and want them to start just under my big toe, and curve around, under all my toes, to the edge of each foot, and up near the anckle. (and yes, I know the foot is painful :p) So what I want is a tattoo that will represent all 3 portions of my ancestry, Russian, German, and Irish, maybe something celtic, like knots or swirls with a very stylized eagle/dragon looking creature. Anyone ever seen any artwork at all like this?! Please help. Thanks everyone, this means a lot to me.

Your definitely going into custom tattoo territory here. Your going to want to think about all the things you love about your ancestory/fmaily, and visual images to go along with those thoughts. Collect a bunch and talk to the fellahs at Ace Custom Tattoo and see who they think should do the tattoo. Rodney is great, and they have guest artists come in and what not. If you research your artist whos tattooing style you like, then they will help turn your thoughts and ideas into a great tattoo.

Yeah, I was afraid you might say that, lol. Unfortunately, I have already tried them, and all they could give me was the same old contrived crap you see on everyone. Guess I will have to just keep looking, and drawing myself.... maybe one day I'll come up with something I like enough to have forever, lol. Thanks for trying.

How did you do your research on the german image you chose???? I am looking to incorporate a german symbol with my kids' names...Help please, I cant find a thing.

If you're saying starting under your big toe and wrapping around under all of your toes, then do you mean you want the tattoo on the bottom of your feet? I'm asking because if this tattoo means a lot to you and you do want it there chances are it won't be there in a few years. Tattoos have a very hard time healing and staying on the low sides of the feet and the bottom is a guaranteed disappearing ink trick. If that's what you wanted I recommend choosing a different area and if it isn't what you meant, well then, this message will self destruct in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

Sharpie...rethink the toe thing...top of the foot can be do able but toes(sides and bottom just will NOT stay...you will be VERY unhappy with the results!!!...TAz
