Is Colour king ink good ?

9 messages · last activity 11/13/2012

I just bought a Tattoo kit and it comes with "Colour king ink" and i was wondering if it was a good brand or a shit one before i use it.
Relying on the work "KIT" in the description, I'm gonna say it's crap. Get some descent ink and arm yourself with education and knowledge. Most importantly.....BE SAFE!
I suggest mithratattoo.com there are some decent inks there, no matter what anyone recommends just make sure and do some research on it! I guess your on the right path since your here. I use Alla Prima. Some are not fans but you gotta use your judgment on whether they are talking shit because it sucks or just not a fan of the brand or owner. Most experienced artist get political sometimes.
COLOUR KING INK IS MADE IN CHINA I BELEIVE AND MAY CONTAIN LEAD.... IVE BOUGHT A SIMILER KIT AND IT DOESNT TAKE WELL I REALLY HAVE TO PUMP IT INTO THE SKIN SO SELL IT ONLINE AN GO BUY STARBRIGHT , INTENZE, KURI SUMI , STUDIO ONE , INK AND THOSE ARE BRAND NAME INKS THAT DO THE JOB FOR A DISCOUNT PRICE........ ROACH.S
colour king ink is the worst ink anyone can get.I have found no matter how much you pump it in it falls out.I would say stick to the good stuff starbright, moms etc....
If you are asking this question on an open anonymous forum, you are not ready to be tattooing anyone. The inks you use are the least of your worries.
its kinda crapy ink i use starbright but i bought a kit for a friend and it seems they riped off the kuro sumi logo on there ink bottles i agree this person may need more experience but maby he just ordered a crap kit to sell to the publik and saw the emblem and wondered if it was made by kuro sumi and no i dont think it is but id tell him dont use the machines in that kit lol buy some pacos and a national power supply then maby make a few machines using parts from eikon ! thats the best there i have a buddy who has fowelers ruthafords and pacos and loves the pacos most i love my paco rollins to the brass and steel are my fav sorry if speeling is off my computers messed up atm
i have colour king inks [1/2oz bottles] got them off EBAY £17.99....i find them ok to use,,i got some very small bottles of inks with my tattoo kit n they were terrible compared to colour kings..there is better quality inks out there like starbright, moms, eternal etc i have tryed them and i liked very much,, but as a home tattooist colour kings do me fine,,,:)....all i would say is colour kings are not good for cover up work as the finished product (tattoos) are a little more transparant than the better inks..for the price i dont complain :)
mate ffs colour king wat hahahahaha silly silly this site is practicly made up of kitchen wizards hahahaha stay away from anything that isnt at least 10 for 1oz bottle thats the best advise and only nown brands so on and if u had of had an apprentiship u would of know about shity equipment and good equipment pigments are the part thats ment to be the safeist cause think about it its commin sens its going in to your body you wouldnt tattoo with rat poison would ya think about it
