Is my tatt healing normally?

Hello, I got a tatt done on the inside of my forearm just under a week ago, and most of it is fine but one of the stars has gone very red and has scabbed dramatically. I washed it when I took off the dressing, and have been washing it and patting dry twice a day and using vitamin e cream on it since. This has never happened before with previous tatts, is this amount of redness and scabbing normal 5 days after? It's very sore still. It honestly looks like it got aggrivated after the fact, so the irritation will just take a little longer to heal. If the redness gets worse or streaky, or if there is a discharge of any pus, then I'd see your artist and have him/her advise you from there. But right now, it just looks like it will take a little longer to heal due to being aggrivated- perhaps it got bumped into or stuck to clothing or a bedsheet? -KRYSTOF
