is my tattoo infected?

I got a tattoo on my hip a week ago .the first day i was using neosporin but i heard it takes the ink out and i have a lot of white and blue in mine so i freaked out and bough that H2O lotion stuff. my tattoo looked good for about 4 days after i got it then it started to get soggy and cluppy my color looked like it was comming off I stopped using the stuff and went to the place where i got it and they told me to use A and D so i went out and bought it with uncented bar of soap.. i have been using it for 3 days now and my tattoo looks a lot better than it did but now my tattoo is red in some areas and I'm breaking out in little pimples all around my tattoo and down my leg a little bit! is it infected?! what should i doo ? p.s I used plastiic wrap acouple times when i was at school because we have a dress code and i didn't want it to rub off.. is plastic wrap bad for it?

Without seeing your tattoo there is no way for anyone to tell if there is evidence of infection....best bet is to go see your artist and get his opinion....IMPORTANT!!!!!!....if the tattoo remains red and/or starts exuding pus (green slimy stuff) GO TO A DOCTOR...a small infection that can be taken care of easily with oral antibiotics can progress to a very serious systemic infection in a short time....do NOT risk it!!!
