Is something wrong?????????????

I got a new tat on Saturday, my first one. And I've been putting ointment on it and doing what the place said. After work, I noticed some of the ink was coming off! Is this normal, is something wrong????

Sounds normal..... You almost always lose a bit of ink. Just remember, do NOT suffocate the tattoo with goop. If they have told you to use ointment, you want a LIGHT dab. Rub it in like you would lotion. No thick layer on the skin. You only want a slight sheen, not a vaseline-ish like layer. :)

Is that what it is? There is still ink under it, but it looks a little lighter and thinner

Just keep following the aftercare instructions from your artist. You will be "slimey" for a couple of days and then it stops. Just keep the area clean and don't let it get too dried out and "scabby" looking or you will have problems. By now you should be able to switch over to an advanced healing, non-scented lotion. Put that on as often as you can and or are able to. And most likely you may have to have it touched up once it is completely healed. You should be all good.
