Is this normal?

I got a tattoo prob some maybe able to help with. I have about 11 tatts..most are black work. Exactly one week ago I got 2 colored flowers on my upper outer right arm. One is red and one is blue. The blue one looks like a normal tat of it's age (healing wise) as does half of the red one but the other half of my red one (bottom half) has a thick scab and is hurting more than the norm. I took care of it like I have my others. Wash with soft soap and applied tattoo goo for the first 4 days. Was using Aveeno after that. I have a 6 month old with special needs and I bath with him. I would put a thick layer of tattoo goo when it was tub time and I would plot it off when we where done. He also accidently grabs it, smacks it, and pinches it. The area he can reach and the area that may get the most water on it is the area of concern. There isn't any puss coming out of it. The scab is just thicker than normal and turnes a white/ yellow color after a shower. Also there isn't any redness around it..just sensitivity. I can actually feel a slight stinging pain just at a stand still with no movement. My care for it as of now is a peroxide rinse and a thin dab of neosporin with a Qtip on the hard areas. Any idea if this is normal for colored tats?
sounds like area was overworked and a mild allergic reactio or any of the following 1 diet change 2 med change 3 body soap change 4 animal dander 5 cotact dermititious see what im getting to here sounds like ya are taking good care of it just keep it up and let it heal red does that to me all the time. keep us posted thanks don
Thanks Don..I appreciate your reply :).
TYs mommy You should avoid bathing for a while if possible, at least don't soak and if I were you I think I would "dry heal" for a few days. Give it a try, as Erlich said probably overworked or mild reaction since the other parts healed well.Throw the tattoo goo away and just let your body heal itself naturally, it will look horrible for a few days but it will come around
Thanks Tim. I already told the hubby he has to take over bath time for a little while ;-). If it's not better by next week..I plan on calling my tattooist and see what she thinks.
