just a question outta curiosity

I was wondering how much does an expierenced tattoo artist, in a well populated area make annually
It's our long lost tribal buddy, Ryan!!!!!!!! How the hell are ya Ryan?
hey, yeah, its me, i've been up to nothing much, oh and I got outta tribal, I have a few things up online if you wanna take a look
Yep Tim...Ryan IS doing good and is drawing his ass off....Just wait someday in the not too far future you are gonna see our RYAN in the tattoo mags everywhere...I have a LOT of faith in this kid...If he was closer He would definately be working for me!!! To answer tha question tho ryan...there are just too many variables...the skill and popularity of the artist, the location of the shop...I will say that a competent custom artist in a decent location is going to make a very good living!!...But we both know that money is NOT what its all about man...every great artist I ever met had the same philosophy..."I would still be tattooing even if I had to do it for free and have a "real" job to support my art"...Its all in the attitude buddy!...TAz
It does my heart good to hear that every once in a while one of these guys actually listen to experience, instead of insisting on continuing to shoot themselves in the ass........................Good for you Ryan!!!!!!!!! Good luck man! TCE
true that.
Ryan, If you haven't done so already, you can go to www.hyperspacestudios.com and click the tab under ordering books. Guy has a Q&A page that offers valuable info to answer your question more in depth. It is alot to copy and paste here, so I will leave it at that. The link is "income of a tattooist" and under it is 3 links that will further help you with income related questions. Taz, I am sure will be a very helpful person in your career and you did good by coming here to post and learn. You seem to be very driven and that deserves nothing but respect. You will meet alot of cool people willing to help you out here, so definately stick with it. Also, check out Paul Booth's forum, there is alot of good artistic talent at work there. Take care and good luck to you, J
