la ink vs miami ink

is it just me or besides garver on miami ink the la ink artists are much better overall?

I agree the LA Ink tattoo's are much better and so is the show. I sure would love to live in LA and get a Kat tattoo........bet they are expensive but well worth it. Each tatto I've seen on the show is a work of art!

I have seen nothing but shit come out of LA Ink. Miami Ink has it's fair share of crap also, but nothing from La ink has impressed me.

I thing the crew on LA-ink are better tattooers overall,but the only one i find interesting is Kim..I think she is very personable,and sweet..I think Miami Ink just has more interesting personality's on the show.

I really don't like either show. They're all pretty good artists...remember there are many, many, many great artists out there who don't get the recognition because they're not on tv. With that said the best show of the two is LA INK because it has PIXIE. The sexy shop manager who doesn't tattoo, and is super cute with a gorgeous body!!!

I think the only thing you can compare is "LA INK /MIAMI INK vs TATTOO WARS" since LA and MIAMI INK are twin brothers. The last episode of Tattoo Wars "Cain /Atchison" blew me away.

the last tattoo wars was unreal, it was serious art, u can keep the la and miami drama.

I wanted to chime in here because I think about this now & again. For my money, I think that Miami Ink is more interesting, but overall artists are better in LA Ink. The only person I'd pay in Miami in Garver. In LA, they're all pretty good although given a choice I'd prefer Corey over the other ANYTIME! Did anyone else get the impression that Kat's firing was staged? It seems like everything came out of the blue. Even though Ami and Kat would disagree, there did not seem to me THAT much friction until the last 2 episodes. Also, Ami's main problem with Kat is that she prefered to do portraits all the time. Well, why does she do all sorts of stuff in LA? Just my 2 cents... Best, E

Hey, this is a shameless plug... If you have flown or are thinking of flying to Miami Ink for a tattoo vacation, you might want to consider flying to New England next October where 60+ of the worlds finest will be tattooing in one very nice resort in the hills of western mass during peak leaf season. rooms are only $109 a night, and the 2 and 3 bedroom condos are really really nice (some even have bunk beds!).

Come to Salvation or Moshpit, right across Miami Ink.

I kind of dig them both- Miami seems more like a traditional "real" tat shop wher as LA is a bunch of "stars"- she kindof had that luxury as a spin-off show! However- i HATE watching either when they're doing shit besides tattooing- why do I care about thier personal lives- oh, thats right- I DON"T!!! actually I kind of prefer London Ink- they talk shop from time to time.

HELL HELLLLL NOOO!!!! the Miami Crew kicks some ass on the LA crew. unfortunately the LA Ink show has turned into yet another reason OR excuse to show case people and their "most genuine selves" NOT being that genuine OR unique, I love Cory's tattoos and Cory himself seems down to earth and REAL (YO!) and i think Hanna's got some killer skills, and of course KAT is hands down one of the best portrait tattooist that there is. but the show is too glitzy and glamy and the tattooing has been lost in all the creation of chaos. Miami has my vote 100% (go ami!)

We just gotnew season of Miami and wall they did was give Kat shit. I never saw an episode of LA Ink where she did that to them. Ami & Nunez are whiney bitches. I turned it off, shouldn't it be about the tattooing. Yeah LA is glitzy but as stated some great work has been done. I love Hannah - what a colour genious (also she was heard of before the tv shows!)

I hell yeah agree with you. Chris Garver is super, Darren Brass is very good too but Nunez and Ami James are not up to their level. On the other hand, Corey Miller and Kat von D are at a league of their own while i compare Kim and Hannah with Chris Garver's level. Their precision is impeccable, both of them. Cheers
