lighten a tattoo?

help? my G.F. got a tattoo finnished today she went in for a third session to finnish it after 7hours of work already and i think the guy kinda rushed this last day. part of it is a fairy and its face is shaded, but it came out looking like a beard. she complained but all the guy said was it will eventually fade. i have no knowledge in this. can a lighter color be used over it to lighten the face. i read using a cream can pull out some color but im sure this would also blur the face. what can be done

Hey there...I am not sure if a cream would work....I do know that when i got my tattoo on my lower back it looked like s**t...it did fade out a little to where I need to go and get it touched up now...tell your gf to stick it out...eventually she will get it fixed:)
