lighting interfering with machines

here's a strange one, we recently relocated our shop, now my machines run erratically when i turn on the shop lights. they run fine when the lights are off. any ideas? i'm stumped as to why this would be. same type of lighting at the old shop.
Hey- My guess...old wiring...I would get an electrician to look at the wiring asap. Imagine if you accidently "shocked" someone...WOW. That would suck! I would also call the landlord and if you have a copy of your lease look to see if things like this are covered. Y
thanks.
Hi Crapola Do the machines actually perform diferently or do they just look like they are running differently while you are using them? I know that if you are Tattooing under flurescent lights, the lights actually pulse and set up a strobe effect when looking at your machine which is running at a different frequency to the lights. Sort of how the wagon wheels in the old movies seem to be going backwards sometimes. Just a visual thing! otherwise I have no idea.
what you are describing is known as DIRTY ECLECTRIC FLOW it comes from old outdated or shorted electricity.or there is just simply too much power being pulled on the circut. you will have to find a circuit in the building that is not drawing off the lites.youre not imagining things but you are facing a disruption in the current flow.sort of like clamping a water hose.clamp down water slows or stops.same with your deal run machines, power slows.sounds like it is time for the electrician to come in and do some wiring.or find a better lined shop.
the strobe theory is interesting, there are no abnormalities showing on the ems. thanks for the intelligent responses, guys.
