Does anyone know of an artist that can do famous paintings and make them look good on skin? I saw a cat on the tube a while ago but forget his name. I am looking to do Escher's Metamorphosis III. Lots of tiny detail...can anyone help?
Thanks, y'all.

It might be worth saving your pennies and getting Shane ONeill. While any tattoo artist can try to replicate Escher, you really do need to be exceptional to replicate his amazing artwork accurately. There are some great studios in philly too (studio 1 and Old City come to mind).

did 2 for me.
1 roll up and the two guys in the from of the encounter.
I have since gotten 2 more escher tattoos in cleveland and was far more satisfied with the work from K & B.
The first one was 13 years ago and the toher was 10 years ago and they both still look great.
i can probably get you pics if you want - from my phone at the least.
Who at K&B did the work?
I saw the posting asking about a artist who can do Escher pictures. I got eschers relativity picture done on my arm as a half sleeve and it came out amazing. Contact Steve at Fattys tattoo in Washington DC. He does amazing work and can prob handle the job you want done.
I don't recall who worked on me at K&B.
It was a long time ago.
I have posted all my escher work though.
I have gotten 3 pieced from Ryan Zarefoss and 1 from Ryan speed.

if you can come to ohio you also might want to check out www.versago.com
I have not worked with this guy but it looks like he can definately pay the bills and his personal art is very influence by escher.
I have an escher tattoo (house of stairs) on my upper left arm and shoulder. It's unbelivable. I don't know if you're anywhere near cleveland, but the artist that did mine is the only one in the northeastern u.s.a that I know of.
I even showed it to a gallery owner who purchases and sells escher prints for high end clients, and she was impressed. email me and i'll send pics....
The same artists also tattooed Moiebus strip w/ ants on a back of another guy and its amazingly detailed, an exact replica of escher's woodcut.
I love Escher and have been since I was a teenage artist. I got my 1st Escher tatty when I was in my early 20's. The piece was "Snakes". I was lucky that the artist was a friend of mine and took a lot of time to dumb it down so it would be a cool design on skin. We spent a total of 8 hours over 3 sessions. 3 for the outline, 3 for the snake scales and 2 to make sure all the rings were connected. That was 10 years ago, and I am finally ready to build on my Escher sleeve. The next piece is gonna be "Dragon". I'm getting it done done at Sacred Heart in Vancouver B.C. on Davie St. by "Dan". I can't wait, it will instigate a full sleeve of the master. April 5th can't come any sooner. E-mail if you need or want images!!!!
