Hello, My name is Steve, I live in Massachusetts and looking for a studio to do my back piece. I prefer owner/artist studio as to get the personal touch and fair price. thanks in advance for any help. Steve

I own Off the Map tattoo in western mass, where TattooNOW's offices are, but I dont tattoo. Many of TattooNOW's artists dont seem to mind and travel to tattoo here though. There are lots of shop in Ma to go to. Do your homework and see what style you like. Its not about artist owned is about the shop itself. Fair prices vary in the eyes of the consumer, but you should shop for quality over price, prime example, I'm sure the customers at Big Dogz got what they thought was a fair price, but now they're walking around with not so fair quality tattoos.

Oh yeah Gabe by the way my catering service is not up to date. I want New haven pizza on Thursdays friday is lobster tail night and Sat of course osaka suchi. And massages every morning will be nice. I don't know how close you are but there is one of the nations finest studios in Easthampton ma...its called OFF THE MAP TATTOO and they feature really awesome in house artists with the added bonus of some of the best artists in the nation doing guest spots I think nearly every week, people like Gabriel Cece,Johnny Berrios and Kandyman Joe ( who recently did a guest spot at our studio here in the midwest and he is RIGHTEOUS!!!) and lots more.If you are not close its worth the trip to get there. You can't go wrong at OFF THE MAP!! And you can see some of their amazing tattoo photos right here on this site!!

Johnny just started a piece for me that will be a leg sleeve and I would totally recommend him...f-in amazing work. definitely check out his site and his work. i drove out there from upstate NY and cant wait to get back! johnny, i checked out your site today and it looks good. i'll be in touch soon to schedule the next apt. everyone around here is pretty f-in amazed with the piece so far...nothing like that could be done around here!

If you are able..go to Off the Map....Gabe has guest artists every wekk that are just the best in the biz in every style you can think of...and the Darkwave people up in Boston ain't too shabby either!! More importanly...just do your homework!!...Tattoos don't wash off!!!

I am also looking for a clean safe place to get my first tattoo. I have to say, I drive by Big Dogz Ink everyday to and from work. I thought of stopping in and checking it out. The main reason I haven't is because, being a small person it is very intimidating when you see a bunch of guys standing outside the door. It doesn't give you the feeling of feeling safe to expose any part of yourself to anyone you might see hanging outside the building. Not to say, it could be perfectly harmless but again, when you are a smaller/shorter person, it's not the kind of place you feel comfortable walking into alone.
