He didnt know me at all !!! Seems like the computer gives people an excuse to be rude. Darrin, no worries. They hate this place so much they started their own "real" forum where people register and they dont get the anonymous voices in the night heckling folks. I have more than enough friends and dont need any more, so in the end its kinda flattering that some folks only post to point out how crappy this place is. They even have a thread ranting about how we dont give out technical advice and suck so hard. I kinda wish they would realize this site is about the tattoos and the tattoo galleries, but alas, some people love high school drama and have fostered an Us vs them attitude. Whatever, I was an outcast then and dont mind being on the shit end of someones stick now. In the long run I imagine the old regulars turned lurkers will realize Im not an asshole and get past the drama. Or not, either way Craveink has it right, the fun wont end around here for a a long time if I have anything to do with it. Miami ink does suck lol , not really just fuckit change the subject to the original. I would have liked to see a "reality" show coming from this art with a bit more um idk if class is the right word or not. Maybe the producers have alot to do with the way these artists are suppose to be portrayed idk i've never met any of them presonally. But from what I understand Kat's actually a pretty sweet girl, and I would imagine as many lumps as most tattoo artists have to take to get to the professional status theyv'e earned , the rest of the "cast" is probably fairly easy to get along with as well. Eh maybe i'm wrong I don't care. I've also seen very few of their tattoos to be quite honest I don't watch much television. What I have seen is pretty decent work coming out of a shop that's gotten a whole lot of exposure. Course that's kind of to be expected. It'd be cool to see some really really super talented people on a show as publicized as this , but I don't think that the artist on now aren't talented. I have heard rumors of the Last Rights Studio getting some MTV deal or something if I remember , that should be fun. But at the same time i'm pretty damn sure not every great artist would care to have that much exposure. Alot of people intend to keep a low profile so to speak and just do their own thing. At any rate I think televised life in a tattoo shop , even if it is staged somewhat I don't know, has done alot of good things for the industry and as with anything else you also get alot of bad as well.

This is totally rediculuos- The person that took the stab at Gabe sounds to be highly uneducated, I feel sorry for him. Gabe has always been helpful for me and a relly nice, genuine person. I know Chris and have been tattooed by Garver , He is incredible and one of the nicest people I have met early in my tattoooing. This site allows freedom of speech , and I guess everyone is entitled to an opinion -- even if it is completely unfounded jibberish. Next time before stating such a ridiculous comment you should sit back and think not of the negative, but the positive things Miami Ink has done for tattooing. It has brought people out for them to see its not an underground , criminal career, but rather an expresion of art for many of us , and provides a great living for otherwise "starving" artists. Everyone at this shop respects Gabe immensly my boss has even posted here defending him.So unless you were speaking of another poster read mine again and do try to get what its all about.I do believe its ridiculous to allow such haters as the top poster to even post on a site.Nobody here hates Gabe at all.

Do people just come on here to say that Miami Ink sux because they wanna look hardcore? It seems that in every "underground" industry, when it is put in the media and exposed to a wider audiance that people automatically want to seem "cool" by not following the trend of liking it. Its a show, It lets me watch tattooing and art on TV, that is all. I have seen some good art and some stuff I dont like on the show but for gods sake who cares is they are tattoo masters or not. Its just like in the music industry and people say "i liked them better before they were big"

I inquired about a tattoo and received the worst service. I asked if we could double check the symbols that I wanted, the front desk guy told me to "look over there", referring to some books by a couch. I asked to see a portfolio of the artists who were there and he handed me two books. When I asked whose work it was he said "it doesn't matter, you can't pick your artist anyway." In addition to quoting me $300 for a tattoo that should have been half that, I decided that they clearly didn't want my money and I left. What a let down. I quickly went around the corner to "Tattoos by Lou" and had a great experience with nice new tattoo. I will let everyone I know about the incredibly horrible service I had in hopes to deter people from going to Miami Ink!

everyone has there own opinions lets not forget out of the endless hours of footage the cameras take its the editors who put it out that decide what to show what to make the programme more viewable what to make people talk about the show .... in my opinion and its my opinion they all seem a good bunch of guys and ive never met a tattoo artist that is a god at all styles kat von d personally i think her black and grey work is fantastic the shop has got a good range of artists but im yet to see any of them put somthing out that will equal kats black and grey work one thing yojiro whats this all about the guy cant even draw and there letting him loose with machines on paying customers oh and one more as for them being was it said ignorant to a customer the shop is famous im sure they get 1000`s of people through there doors and im also sure a fair few of them are borderline insane so if people go in demanding a tattoo from a certain artist im not suprised they get told they cant pick and choose if it was my shop they would politly be told to get the fuck out and come back when they learn some manners as for all the haters or whatever you yanks call them maybes they should put there art work on here and let people see how good they are its a simple world put up or shut up in my opinion great site by the way H

I think Miami Ink is pretty terrible. No doubt about it, the guys on there are exremely talent at what they do, that's not my point though. I can't stand the attitude of half of them "Oh, we're different, everything has to be different, I don't wanna tattoo that because it's similar to something that someone in the whole history of time might have already had." That kinda thing. And stuff like on one episode, a woman was asking for an opinion on where the tatt (that she'd draw out herself) would fit in best with the rest of the scheme, and one of them said "I don't give opinions on tattoos" and that if one of his customers had been messing around like that he'd have kicked them out. . . . WHAT? You're a tattoo artist man, what you do to people stays on them for life, you can't blame someone for wanting to make sure it's gonna be 100% perfect before it gets done, espeically with that fact that they're paying a stupid price to have it done by someone who's had their face on tv. This is elitism at it's worst.

isnt miami ink a television show?...thankfully forums are built as a way for us to educate ourselve...on the other hand i dont know the diference between my grandma and her friends talking about "all my children" and you all bitchin about whoever the fucks on that show anyways....maybe go draw something or call the cast and give them some helpful pointers on how they could be even better if youre opinion mattered......

I dislike the show, because of the soap opera styled drama queen bitch style shit going on through the whole thing. I love the artwork they produce. I guess a show about a normal, no drama styled tattoo studio wouldn't be very interesting, except to tattooers., For some reason All of my distributors will no longer carry Ami James ink, don't know why, don't even care.
