Mother/Daughter Tattoos

Hey there, My mother & I have decided to get a tattoo to symbolize our bond & love to one another. My parents are moving very far away, so this is a big deal. We wanted to get it on our ankle or foot. Does anyone have any suggestions?! What do ya think about a seahorse? That is something that we like but aren't sure if it would look okay.......or a flower.....typical I know. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

GET a picture of TAZ tattooed on ya!! Really, aslong as it is something that has meaning to both of you, and that you BOTH like the drawing.. Just make sure u don't just "settle" on one cause it is the only one you could agree on! It will mean ALOT more to both of you if there is ALOT of thaught put into it! Baker sendz.......

there are alot of options like a rose and a rose bud together. the rose for mom and the bud for you. or the same thing with seahorses each of you could get a big and lil seahorse, mom and daughter. symbolizm, for both of you always together. just throwing out ideas.

you could get a chinese symbol that says mom and she could get one that says daughter or somethin thats what me and my mom wanna do...idk just a thought

Kanji is a cheap easy way to do it, I would suggest finding something a little more meaningful....

My mother and I are getting ready to get matching tattoos and we deicede that I would get the symbol for love and daughter on my foot, and she is going to get love and mother. It will be in chinese symbols right above our toes (i want it to be so that when im wearing flip flops the symbols are right above the strap)

my daughter and I have the word "forever" tattooed on the inside of our wrists in lower case flowing writing, so maybe just a simple word that has a lifetime of meaning could be good for you both.

My mom and I are getting a matching mother/daughter tattoo also. We're getting 3 linking hearts on our foot symbolizing our past present and future together. We're getting it on our foot because we walk together through life no matter where we are. So just really think about what you've been through and what you both like.

My mother and I are also getting corresponding tattoos and we both have little nicknames for eachother so we're getting things to symbolize those nicknames. She's going to get the thing that represents me, and I'll get the thing that represents her so we're always with eachother. Corny I know, but hey! Everyone loves their Mom!!

Im having the same problem. I almost lost my mom to a heart attack while i was on vacation just a week ago...and i have no idea what to get...i want it to be girly but still represent her sort of... help!!

you and your mom should try and get a locket and a key...one of you should get a locket (any place you would like) and the other should get hte key. so in that caase you can always say that she'll always have the key to your heart or friendship or what ever.

Same here, no idea what to gte with my mum. preferably something black and white, but i got no clue. I thought of mabye something coming out of something else but i'm lost.. any ideas anyone??

i really wanna get a mon/daughter tattoo with my mom for mothers day. but im soo lost on what to get! she had me at a very young age, so its kinda like we grew up together.. i kinda want somthing that repersents that, our friendship and our mother and daughter bond at the same time! any ideas??

The top of the foot is really painful. I have one there and will not get another there. Its really awesome, but ask how high is your pain tolerance??

i think it is great that you all are getting tattoos with and for your moms! i have to tell you though, you should all come up with unique ideas that represent you and your mom. whether it is something you both like, or something that reminds you of each other. there are so many things you can do. do nto waste such a meaningful tattoo on kanji or something like it. put some real thought into it and you will be much happier!

i plan on getting a phrase my mother has been telling me for years, from birthday cards to tough times, it has always been a unique saying for just us. it will be in a dark brown (natural) script that is found in the founding documents (representing old but ever important ideas) and it will be across my sholders so that she will always have my back.

I got one for my mum, I got a note, that she wrote to me which got me through a difficult time, tattooed on my back so it was in her handwritting! WIth a fancy design (swirls) etc and three stars representing our past present and future together! Good luck finding one! Maybe the handwritting will be nice if your mum has ever wrote something that means alot to you! :)
