That about explains it...the title...she said that I would have fun because I am a good artist, that tattoo artists make good money and that she meets some really cool people......

yes indeed you might. if you would like to do this the RIGHT way then get togeter a portfolio of your drawings (the more the better) and take them to a shop you would like to work at and ask for a proper apprenticeship. good luck! Sam at TattooNOW

If making money and meeting interesting people is your main objective, sell, crack cocaine instead. You can probably make more money, the people are just as interesting, and most important of all, smoking crack is safer for the customer than a tattooist who is in it for the wrong reasons could be.

dude dont listen to any of these haters If you got skills go for it cause lord knows ther is plenty of tattoo artists out there who CANT DRAW!!!

Has anyone else besides your "cuz" told you that you were a good artist? Keep in mind, juse because you might be able to draw, doesn't mean you'll be able to tattoo. 2 totally different mediums!

Yeah, if you really care about tattooing and are learning how to do it the right way, you not only be able to know how to draw, but you need to REALLY KNOW HOW TO DRAW. If you think highly of tattooing and the public, you shouldn't start tattooing until your artwork is sooooo good that as you get lots of really good tattoos by talented custom tattoo artists, the doors will open. And they do, because as much as we dont need any more bad tattoo artists getting into the business, its always a pleasure when new talented folks put out good quality tattoos.

if you are determined with all your heart and soul to be a good or even excellent tattoo artist then it will happen. Dont let anyone discourage you, if you honestly feel this is for you.
