Need ART for VERY meaningful tat!!!

Hello everyone, I have been a tattoo artist for quite a while now, and I have been a drug abuser for alot of that time. And yes I know its bad and all of that, but before you get pissed and yell at me, I want you guys to know that I want a 1 year clean tattoo. I have had alot of trouble coming up with a design for the tat. I originally got a tat of a bird the day I went into treatment and got clean. Now I would like something that marks my one year mark for being clean. And I would like to get it the same day that I went in to get my "clean" tattoo which was Jan, 18 2006. I have found that the original tattoo has really helped solidify that I am done using and that I have a much better life now. Just for ideas I was a I.V. drug abuser, used opiates like morphine, OXYs, you get the idea. I love new school art, that is what I would love for this tattoo to be in. If anyone can help out please give me some ideas, or even drawings/ flash ect.... Later

Congratulations Lefty. Check out some pictures of straight edge tattoos. BME has , or used to have, quite a few in that category. I'm drawing a blank on the rest of your idea. Try and think of something that's got an annual rebirth cycle maybe? Like a plant or , the phoenix maybe? Something like that maybe with a new skool twist might look pretty cool.

I would focus on positive images that represent the bright future (bird are great of course) rather than images of the past, though, it really depends on what you want the tattoo for... to remember not to go back, or to push yourself forward...

Thanks alot guys, I appreciate it. I think Im going to try to go with something to do with the Pheonix. I wanted to kind of avoid that because of the poularity of the pheonix. But if myself or a fellow artist can come u p with something very original and unique, that would definatly work well. Thanks guys, Later

Hey you want a GREAT tattoo by an ARTIST and NOT just some TATTOOIST? Check out this guy Dave Shultz @ www.frankenshultz.com He is the best at anything you could imagine. His site is on the dark side but look at the ART not just the images. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
