A new History Channel series exploring the world of tattoos is filming an episode about the tattoos that pertain to various military branches and we need your help. Looking for men in all branches of the armed forces! Are you active or retired military? Do you have military inspired tattoos? Do you have great military stories? Are you willing to share them with us? Do you want to be on TV? If so we are looking for you. If you have tattoos that fit any of the following categories we want to hear from you. • Vintage Americana; patriotic symbols • Uniform replications (i.e. dog tags, stars and stripes, medals, etc) • Commemorative/memorial tattoos that speak to a tragic or uplifting experience that is commemorated with skin and ink. Note: we will want to hear the story behind the tattoo. • Symbols and secret meanings behind each branches’ imagery • Tattoos that speak to some singular aspect of military life (stories of perseverance, triumph, tragedy, hope) • Tattoos signifying religion- the mystical aspect of tattoos, saints for protection, etc. • Ink that shocks, inspires, motivates… Please email photos of your tattoos and the stories behind the ink to Jessica at [email removed]
all my tattoos are inspired by the time I spent in combat with the 1st marine division in 2003 in Iraq. I was one of the first marines to engage in combat in operation iraqi freedom.
