New TLC show "LA Ink"

Well, well, I now understand why KVD was "fired" from Miami Ink. All a bullshit dramatic prequil to her new upcoming TLC show LA Ink airing in August. Well done TLC. To all you people who actually believe what your watching is real, get a life!!!!!!!!

She really is not well liked at Miami Ink...TLC is just capitalizing on her popularity and giving her a show. Most of the shit on the show is fake, but she was fired for real.

oh great, here it goes again..... i don't know why you are surprised, its just like every other thing in mainstream media. when something is hot they way overdo it until no one can stand it anymore. i say good for Kat and her new show, i am sure a lot of you would like to have the talent and the recognition for doing something you love. jealousy is a bitch. flame away.

LOL Guys she simply got a contract from TLC, My bud Raul was talking to her in Seattle last week and she told the story. The Miami Stink episode was put up together to fool the audience and make them believe the hype. No one at Miami Ink Tattoos to the regular public, just so you know, they go there just to film. (it was to funny to see Ami say "I love being at the shop", LOL one day a week and for 1 hr) TV Shows= Puppet Show.

No one is jealous dude, even when they got rid of her they admitted you can't deny her talent, but she's rude and obnoxious to have around. She already had a contract with TLC for Miami Ink, but Ami didn't want her in the shop anymore. Even if he's there 1 hour a week, it's still his shop. So she couldn't be at Miami Ink, but she had to finish her contract with TLC. Hence, they give her a show. She's marketable because she's talented and looks different, but she's still a cunt. If you ask me, Ami did her a favor. Now the porker has her own show. Congrats!

everything was a set up ....as one member said....la was more likely to have more customer and kat had incomplete contract... so they had perfect opportunity for a new show..... and probably new crew....some body mentioned that Joe Cappiancbo....was gonna be one the show....check out his website-FORUM.....

It's great that Kat is back in Los Angeles. Miami is cheesy just like the guys on that show are cheesy. I can't wait for the new show. I heard they are filming it at the 80's Prom Night thing at Safari Sams in Hollywood Saturday June 9th. I know Vince Vaughn will be there for sure because they booked the VIP area out and the guest list so far is like Mike Ness from Social Distortion ,Jack White from the White Stripes and Mike D from the Beastie Boys. With all your respect I have to say that if you think Miami is cheesy then you have a problem with sun, beach, fun, hot girls/guys, music and great food.

The show is cheesy, Miami is not. Everything is set up by TLC, the LA ink show is going to be just as cheesy you idiot. Especially with the snob at the helm...I mean come on dude, most of the time she's dressed like a bag lady with an indian hair band around her head...how cheesy is that. She's thinks she's super trendy, or that she's starting a trend when she really is just looking like an idiot. W/E...I digress.

Man, she is assembling quite the collection of artists for the LA Ink show. Now, I hate reality TV and I have full expectations that TV will suck the soul out of anything, but Im crossing me fingers for the new show... the other artists are all really sharp...

I feel she is going to do the opposite as Miami Ink: More tattooing, less stories, great artists. Oh and more rockstarism "Duuudeeee" I wish her the best, I can't deny that I would love to take pay the bills by tattooing live at a shop with the greatest artists out there. Don't hate the player , hate the game!

Miami Ink was a dumb show. The drama seemed staged for the most part. It's a nice show for watching a 3hr piece come together in minutes though.

what i didnt like about miami ink, was how every tattoo had some sob story behind it. its like c'mon guys, not every tattoo has to be a memorial with some long tear jerk story behind it. give me a break.

Like Gabe We are cautiously optimistic about her show we will see what wee will see. In the mean time lets give her a chance, for now!

I dont watch TV BUT when im over at friends houses etc etc they all want my job so they watch Miami Ink etc etc, anywho, i cannot stand how they setup each client like 4 f***ing times, the same sob story re told over and over again for the same guy.WTF.I guess they do it so people that just tune in know whats going on, but holly crap.

Yeah, the sob story thing is just ridiculous. It's making people who know nothing of tattoos think that every tattoo you get has to symbolize something. It's so bad that, when people ask me about getting tattooed and they think of something they'd like to get, they immediately go, "yea, it could symbolize how my chihuahua saved my life by dragging me out of a pool" or some ridiculous shit like that. I get tatted there, by someone who's not on the show...there are legitimate, good artists there fulltime...granted, they are banking off of the idiots that come in there to get tattooed just because the show is on t.v. I've always told him that the show is cheesy as shit, but he told me that's how TLC wants it. Remember, when they were first offerred the show it was a huge opportunity, so when they signed, they pretty much signed away any say in how the show is to be portrayed on t.v. As far as Kat's show, I'm interested in seeing the new artists that are going to be on the show. I really don't care much for her. I do believe it will be just as cheesy though....and if it is any different then so will Miami Ink. They would change both of them.

All I can say is oh well, I said it before Kat Von D is a great artist, but she has a major hate for any kind of tattoo she thinks is beneath her, especially color tattoos, who care ?! ppl come from all over the world wanting a tattoo by her and that woman has made them feel like shit when they told her what they wanted, she is a bitch, she might be good at what she does, but i would rather go to someone who is good at what they do and have respect. She's a tattoo artist, it's a good job and if i had the talents she had and the fans she had i would be tattoo whatever people wanted it would be great, but she's just another stuck up bitch who thinks she can get by with everything... and as for Miami being chessey? i don't think so ive been its great

The only reason I post about it is because I know what truly happenned, so when people speculate I clear it up. I could care less, but when I'm on my breaks at work there's really nothing else to do than surf the web and I'm always on this site when I'm on break. I just really hate people liking someone so much or defending them to the death after any little comment is made about them just because they're on t.v. It's ridiculous.
