OK, so I'm a pussy. I get that. I have heard it all. "The pain is half the fun." "If you can't handle a little pain, you can't handle a tattoo." Fuck that shit. Has anyone taken vicodin or other prescription pain meds before getting a tattoo? I am serious, so let me know before I bleed to death.

Hell,my first tat hurt like a bitch.Bled like crazy.Guy kept saying "damn your a bleeder aren't you".He just had a real heavy hand.None of my others hurt.

I'm of the opinion you should have to take the pain instead of wussing out on meds. I just got the line work done for my sleeve and there was some pretty intense moments like the wrist and elbow. I gladly took the pain. Besides, there may be risks to coming in drugged up for a tattoo. They don't want you drunk afterall.

"Fukk yeah it hurts!" I want a T-shirt that sez that. Anyone know where those can be had? I think its just a matter of time before a resourceful shop gets the paper to administer pain killerz to clients. Topical or oral. I can just see ppl getting put out like at the dentist and waking up with massive pieces LOL My back piece has two consecutive 11hour days in it. (Still not done) A few places hurt pretty bad and it even bruised around my neck, but that pain is part of what keep tattoos out of the mainstream. I have a skewed respect for ppl with those body suits thats for shore. :X If everyone had tatts it might be some kind of fad instead of the art form it is?? And if you want meds maybe ask your Doctor instead of some meatheads on a forum. God only knows what advice you might get. Common sense tells me that if you had somepain relievers it should be easier to take it but there may be some kind of bleeding cross react we don't know about. Like aspiran or alcohol Can you get it done in shorter sessions maybe? I don't know maybe you are one of those ppl who aren't cut out for it You Pussy :) Good luck.
