old tattoo starting to raise and peel

Hey all. i have a question that hopefully someone can help me with. I have two tattoos...a large one over the top of my foot and a small one on my ankle. i got the foot tattoo march 06 and the ankle tattoo march 05. about a month ago, the tattoo on my foot started to raise and redden. its started to peel and scab a bit, some ink came out on the scab, but healed decently. its still a little itchy but the swelling is almost all gone. then, a couple days ago the one on my ankle is starting to itch and raise. all i can think of is that ive been under very heavy stress and anxiety since end of may and i started new medication the end of june. can anyone tell me any possible reasons for this to happen?

It's honestly hard to tell. It "could" be stress, "could" be your new meds, "could" be anything.... Kind of a shitty circumstance. It the swelling and irritation continue I would suggest seeing your doctor for further advice. I know this is a blanket statement but it is the best advice that I can offer presently. Hope everything clears up for you. Now I DO know for a fact that a little bit of Coca-Cola and Crown Royal do woooonders for stress! Best of luck....J
