Out-standing

I got a tattoo on my lower back about 6 months ago, and if you run your fingers over it, the outline of it can still be felt. it isnt majorly sticking out and it isnt swollen, the outline of it is just slightly bumpy to the touch. I was just wondering if this is normal and if anyone else experiences this??

It happens, and its quite normal. I have tattoos several years old that still raise and get itchy in the shower on a humid day occasionally. There are a number of factors that contribute to this. Slight allergic reation to the pigment, Change in diet (or something in the diet that could be changed), new prescription or over the counter drug, the artist could have slightly gone too deep, etc, etc. The bottom line is if the piece looks good to you, thats what counts, As the years go by, the symptoms on mine are less and less. If you rub some vitamin E lotion on it, that can help as well.
