Okay, so I just got a tattoo on my lower back(like a four days), its off to the side on the hip area. Its about palm size the thing that concerns me is that my leg hurts, and the tattoo itself hurts, it hasn't started peeling yet and there is a very fine red area around it. Im not sure if they are related but the pain started after the tattoo, and now on occasion there are sharp pains in the areas around the tat not the tat itself. am i just being paranoid?

Could the pain in your leg be from the way you were positioned while getting the tattoo? If the tattoo is swollen that may be causing the leg pain too.
As for the tattoo's pain and redness (and possible sweilling) - take some Advil as needed. And try to wear clothing that doesn't aggravate the tattoo.
the position makes sense. I was sitting on the table, maybe one of the metal joints was sticking me in the leg. Can I ice the tattoo or would that be not good for it
is the pain in your leg a muscle pain or joint pain? if so its probly from the position you were in for so long.
its not joint pain, its more of aches with sharp shooting pains that start at the tattoo
