I know that alcohol thins out blood, which is one of the many reasons nobody should ever get liquored up before a tat. But what about painkillers? I have a large sitting for a tat coming up and am currently on vicadin for a previous injury i have.. Would Vicadin thin out my blood b/c of its aspirin content? any thoughts on this would be very helpful thanks

The best Tattoo experiance is always the sober experiance.
NO PAIN NO GAME!
If you can't take the pain, don't get a tattoo.
Pain is part of the experience.
So yopu already take Vicoden for another injury?...if I were you I would cut down the dose for a few days before getting tattooed.
Thank you taz, you seem to be the only one who reads the topics before posting... as far as the other repliers...I was not taking vicadin b/c i cant take the pain of tats.... i have a couple of tats already and i was straight sober for all of them. i was just inquiring as to if i stayed on my painkillers which i am taking for a previous injury would that cause me to bleed more during a tattoo...
Hey no prob...some people read too fast sometimes ...I do it myself at times!!
Seriously you should be just fine...make sure you have a light meal before your appointment and drink LOTS of liquids the night before to hydrate your body...it DOES make a difference!!
And please post yer tattoo when ya get it done!!!
By the way ...who is yer artist?...what studio?
