I really dig the design, that's how i like them, simple and light. Very nice. How much are you selling these puppies for? Regards C
BTW I didn't realized I was cookied with another email on this comp. But here I go again: I really dig the design, that's how i like them, simple and light. Very nice. How much are you selling these puppies for? Regards Cravink
It is my understanding that my machine is the last of that type he is going to make...in another post he ahd a couple of different ones for sale I will ask him and let ya know man...but I think John is in the middle of setting up another business and is kinda sorta out of the machine making biz...but I am not absolutely sure...I am gonna call him soon and I will find out...these are great machines!
Let me Know Taz I am setting up my own shop in to the public in Miami and I am buying gear slowly two set up the two stations. I would really want to give those babies a try. If they run like the way they look, I am set. Cravink
I can only tell you that the aluminum shader he sent me runs better than any aluminum shader I have evr owned and rivals most (except hotsparks!) iron machines...have ya checked out the Hotsparks?...man for just work horses they are the best hands down and at $150 ya can't beat em and Rob will build them to YOUR specs!!!....Now tha Paleos....they are pieces of functioal art...mine is so pretty I hate to use it!! I will prob only use it when I want to shoe off! LOL!!...John does make some other ones...hey just click on his name above and e mail him... When and where are ya opening man>...need a guest artist?...T
Sweet looking machine.Do you wind your own coils? How do you get them so damned even?I would love to know.Mine are catch as catch can, some even some not.Doesn't seem to make any diff on the meters, but it sure does look nice!
I DO wind my own coils....as WELL as build the coil cores. They are then recessed on a lathe so that the lathe cut washers of Delrin will snap in tight. I built my coil winder from 1/2 of a large saltwater fishing real with extra gears added. Winding DOES make a BIG difference! Both coils should have EXACTLY the same length of wire on them and measure the same. How can you do this if you dont know how many wraps you have? The ONLY thing not built by me on these are the screws.....although some get modified. Why call it a hand built if you by a frame.....add bought parts..etc etc. Springs are all hand made also. Id never buy store bought. Thats just me.
Taz. I ment that you got my last assembled machine of that type. I have parts for many more and will be producing some soon. That model has gone through many revisions so far to get there. It's a keeper. I have dies cut , engraver patterns etc.
I have a counter set up so I know my coils are even as far as the amount of wire. What I meant is how do they stay so smooth?
very carefull wrapping. Smooth as you go. layer after layer. If you let one wrap go all the rest are screwed. lol
So John just to clarify ...you will build machines if people contact you?
Not at this time...Was just saying that those machines are still in production...Just not now. If I fall flat on my face again with this new buisness Im sure more will show up. lol. I make many times less building machines as tattooing.So....its been more of a hobby.lol
