I was wondering if tattoo artists are cool with getting their pictures taken with the clients they just tattooed. I know this seems like the stupidest topic one could bring up but I was just wondering if it was corny of me to think about. I'm getting my 4th tattoo tomorrow and I wanted to ask my artist if he would take a picture with me so I can reference him to other potential clients. Please (without being harsh) let me know, artists, if this is a cool idea or just plain dumb. Thanks-Ericka

We must be a bunch of assholes ....in general ,if good people are hesitant to ask of us even the most simple requests.
I would say your artist would be ok with it, unless you were planning to photo shop him into some bizare scene.
I have people want to take pics with me almost every day ,but i work in a tourist town........and im stunning....lol
I didn't mean you guys are assholes I meant that from previous posts i've read these kind of questions can get the "your-pretty-retarded" type of responce that's all. Believe me i'm not a 14 y/o wanting my first tattoo of my boyfriend's name in the tiniest writing ever because that way "it wont hurt" but I do come up with some pretty odd questions and don't want to be taken the wrong way.
Please don't take this the wrong way. I respect all of you for being artists. Thank you for your responce.-Ericka
Hi Erika!...You have a valid question kiddo...and no ,I would have no prob with a photo!...TAz
Then again, TAz has so little problem with pictures that he'll put his whole head on a t-shirt...
I took a picture with my artist and he was really cool about it. I think most artists are good guys and gals and realize this is a big deal for most of us that we want to remember. Not to speak for anyone, but I bet most of you inkers would probably agree, right?
shit i even pose for photos.
i always have my picture taken with clients.
I dont mind at all. I've had a good few have their friends take pictures of me working while the tattoo is being done. As long as you ask first there shouldn't be much of an issue at all
No problem here, but it's great that you ask, you never know if your artist is on the lam or in witness protection:)
Heck, i wouldnt mind if someone wanted to take a picture. I've had a couple of people ask me that before. I've done it with a couple of the artists that have tattooed me. A lot of people really connect with that experience and will remember every part of it regardless. But if the artist turns it into a really fun and enjoyable time for them, why wouldnt they want a photo to remember it by?
CHEEESE!!!
Ive never met a tattooist that wouldnt cheeze it up for the camera. but as a precaution, I would watch how you word it when you ask..... alot of us are.... um......social misfits and perverts....ask one to pose with ya and he might start ripping off the clothes....LOL
just kidding. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
I woke up this morning to some pretty rad replys to my post! Thanks to all of you for your words! Much Respect-Ericka
