Hey all, I'm looking for a good realistic/portrait artist to do a black and white on or near the Boston Convention. I was looking to see if Mike Devries could do it but he's booked now I'm not sure who, maybe Vinny Burkhart? I need recommendations of who is great artists. I had one recommendation of Shane O'Neil but I don't like the way he does eyes (sorry if you're reading Shane), although I hear he is a master.
Thanks for any help.

Craig,
Check out the artist link at the top of the page for artists in or around that area.... Don't know if you have done that already? If that doesn't help just holla back and I will try to help you out the best that I can. I am sure some of the other guys on here surely know of someone.... "guys"...."GUYS!"

I will be tattooing at the Boston show as well as doing a guest spot at Off the Map Tattoos in Easthampton Mass July 5-11th. Check out my portrait tattoos on TattooNow and my website at www.tattoocityskinart.com. I just won tattoo of the day at the Toronto convention for a Jerry Garcia portrait that I did. If you are interested please contact me at [email removed].

Hey,
I have not checked to see the artist roster for the boston show but after seeing Shane O'neil's work for the past few years I would say not to pass up an appointment with him. His portraits are pretty bad ass but to each their own. Just my $ .02 for what its worth.
Mike DeMasi,does excellent color portraits..

Still trolling for more suggestions.. I'm writing the ones I like down so I can make a list of 3 people to talk to ..
Larry if I sent you a couple pictures could you give me an idea of what you think time and cost wise?

I am currently awaiting my spot with Shane Oniell in September. It has been a long six month wait, but if anybody is going to put a tattoo on me its going to be him. I looked through about 100 artists and as far as I am concerned hs is the be all and end of of portrait artists.
thats be all and end all in the post above. Sorry
Shane is awesome no doubt, but there are a bunch of folks who are also fantastic. When you are talking about artists that good, there is no better, only different flavors of the best. Personally, Im hoping that Mike Demasi has a few openings during his visit to the east coast, but Im sure I'll have to wait for his next visit...
By far the best portrait artist out there is Shane Oneill. take one look at his portfolio and Im sure you will find the artist you are looking for.
Thanks Everyone, I just found a studio close to my house that I'm gonna go with. They're www.hopegallerytattoo.com (Hope Gallery) and the artist I want to do my portrait is Julio Rodriguez (I think that's how you spell it). I think every artist at that studio is awesome, but I really like Julio's black and white art.
Thanks,
Craig
