Possibly infection??

I got a tattoo about 2 weeks ago. There weren't any problems, normal pealing and redness over the next couple days. About three days after I got the tattoo I started seeing these little off white pimples around and on the tattoo. I've had tattoo's before and know how to take care of them but I've never seen anything like this. Im deployed to the philippines right now and had our Doc and medics look at it but they dont seem to know too much about tattoo's and possible infections regarding the tattoos. I've had them pop a few of the pimples sterly and used some anti-bacteria to help the healing process. Im on antibiotics (augmentin) but it doesnt seem to be working. Our Doc did go check the tattoo artists steralization process and said it was up to PAR. Any ideas????

I'm an artsist, and that's happened to me before, too. every once in a while i'll get them in tattoos i've had for years. i don't think it's anything to worry about, if it was infection the doctor would have known it. just keep taking care of it. Although since you have medical care so readily available, you might want to see if you can get a mild antibiotic, just to play it safe.
